John Tui is a Tongan-American actor who was born in New Zealand on June 11, 1975. He is well-known for his performances as Anubis “Doggie” Cruger in Power Rangers S.P.D. and Daggeron in Power Rangers Mystic Force, both of which were shot in his home country of New Zealand. Since then, he has shifted to acting in Hollywood productions like Hobbs & Shaw and Young Rock. The family is currently attempting to have a plaque created in honour of Angela and Tony. Beverley paid tribute to Tony by calling him a “funny and hardworking” grandfather and father.
Added her: “A workaholic, he was. He was so humorous and honest, and he enjoyed his job. He was one of those gentlemen who would always lend a helping hand. He was a dedicated father and grandfather.””Everyone’s attention was on Angela when dad passed away because I had to go tell her in the hospice, which was horrible. She was devastated. All I wanted for Christmas was a pleasant one, she sobbed. It was quite depressing.”
In an effort to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer, the family also urged attendees to wear purple ribbons; £900 was donated in support of the cause. Says Beverley: “Everyone who visited Angela and the hospice workers unanimously remarked on how respectable she was. She was simply incredible. She never voiced complaints and moved on.
As Angela complained of abdominal pain and a sudden loss of weight, doctors first thought she had a hernia. Angela underwent chemotherapy before being informed that her pancreatic cancer was terminal, although it was later discovered to be the cause of this.
Beverley Jeffreys, Beverley Jeffreys’ daughter, stated to the Liverpool Echo: “He simply couldn’t see her pass away, so we kind of think he passed away from a broken heart. We like to find solace in the fact that he passed away before her because he was too weak to continue.”
