Who is Jane Horrocks?

British actress Barbara Jane Horrocks was born on January 18, 1964. The BBC series Absolutely Fabulous featured her in the characters of Bubble and Katy Grin. She got Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations for her performance as Little Voice in the film adaptation of the stage drama The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, for which she was nominated for the 1993 Olivier Award for Best Actress. The daughter of John Horrocks, a sales representative, and Barbara Horrocks, a hospital employee, Horrocks was born in Rawtenstall, Lancashire.

The youngest of three children, she was. As part of Jamie Lloyd’s Trafalgar Transformed season, Horrocks performed as Ella Khan in the London production of East Is East at Trafalgar Studios in October 2014.She was a pupil at Balladen County Elementary School. She received training with Ralph Fiennes and Imogen Stubbs at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and Oldham College before starting her career with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
