Steve Lawrence, born Sidney Liebowitz, is an American singer-actor who has had a successful solo career and as part of a duet with his wife, Eydie Gormé. He started singing and studying music at a young age thanks to his upbringing in a Jewish household in Brooklyn, New York. He recorded his debut singles with ‘King Records aged 16.
