Rhys Ifans is a Welsh actor and singer. His birth name was Rhys Owain Evans, and he was born on July 22, 1967. His name is pronounced. He was the lead vocalist for the Welsh rock bands The Peth and Super Furry Animals. Both of those bands played music. As an actor, he is best known for his roles in Notting Hill, Kevin & Perry Go Large, and Enduring Love as well as his portrayals of Xenophilius Lovegood in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, the supervillain Lizard in The Amazing Spider-Man and the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Grigori Rasputin in The King’s Man. Ifans was born Rhys Owain Evans in Haverfordwest on July 22, 1967.  He is the son of Beti-Wyn, who worked as a nursery school teacher, and Eurwyn Evans, who worked as a primary school teacher. His younger brother, Llr Ifans, also works in the entertainment industry. He spent his childhood in Ruthin, where he attended Ysgol Pentrecelyn for his elementary school and was brought up speaking Welsh as his first language.  He is fluent in Welsh.
