David Matthew Macfadyen is an English actor who was born on October 17, 1974. His pronunciation is /mkfaedin/. It was his performance as Mr. Darcy in Joe Wright’s Pride and Prejudice that brought him to the attention of the public. He is known for his work on stage and screen (2005). He was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award, two BAFTA Awards, and a Screen Actors Guild Award for his role as Tom Wambsgans in the HBO drama series Succession (2018–2023).
