Lori Singer is a musician and actor who was born in the United States on November 6, 1957. She is the daughter of the conductor Jacques Singer and was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. However, she was reared in Portland, Oregon, where her father was the principal conductor of the Oregon Symphony from 1962 to 1972. Her father held this position from 1962 until 1972. The singer was a musical prodigy who made her debut as a cellist with the Oregon Symphony when she was only thirteen years old.
