Who is Harry Treadaway?

Harry Treadaway is an English actor who is most widely recognised for his roles as Dr. Victor Frankenstein in “Penny Dreadful” and Brady Hartsfield in “Mr. Mercedes.” He began his career as a musician and, together with his identical twin brother Luke, formed a band. Despite this, Harry was able to land his first film role thanks to his love of music and his natural propensity for acting, which also got him a nomination for an award. In the film ‘Brothers of the Head,’ in which they both starred alongside Luke, they gained valuable experience by playing the role of conjoined twins, which was an all-consuming part.

Harry has made appearances in a variety of movies and shows that have been produced for television. During this time, he has also appeared in a few stage shows, playing various roles. On September 10th, 1984, Harry was born at the “Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital” in Exeter, Devon. His full name at birth was Harry John Newman Treadaway. He grew up in Sandford, Devon. Harry has an older brother named Sam who is an artist and a twin brother named Luke who is somewhat older than Harry. In 2005, Harry and Luke both appeared in the mockumentary ‘Brothers of the Head,’ which was adapted on Brian Aldiss’s novel of the same name, which was published in 1977.

This was the beginning of Harry’s career as an actor. In a punk rock band, the two of them shared the role of conjoined twins. Luke took on the role of Barry Howe, the band’s lead singer, while Harry Howe, the band’s rhythm guitarist and songwriter, was portrayed on stage by Harry. In the 2007 biographical picture Control, based on the life of the band’s lead vocalist Ian Curtis, Harry played a real-life character named Stephen Morris, who was the drummer and percussionist for the late 1970s English post-punk band Joy Division.

Mark Brogan was Harry’s first recurring character, and he appeared in eight episodes of the suspense drama ‘Cape Wrath’ on Channel 4, which was aired in the United States under the name ‘Meadowlands.’ On November 25, 2010, the ‘BBC2’ network made the announcement that Harry would play the role of Duncan Pearce, a person with a sexually ambiguous identity, in the 90-minute TV movie ‘The Night Watch,’ which was adapted from Sarah Waters’ novel of the same name.

In the horror fantasy film ‘The Last Furlong,’ which was released in 2011, Harry played one of the stars, James Furlong. James was the last living member of a long line of cursed Furlongs. After that, he appeared in the British coming-of-age drama film “Albatross,” playing the role of Jake.
In 2012, Harry had an appearance in the music video for the song “A Wall” by the band Bat For Lashes. The year after that, he directed the music video “Reincarnate” for the band “Tribes,” in which he also starred.

In the 2012 British zombie comedy ‘Cockneys vs. Zombies,’ Harry was cast as one of the two leads, playing the role of Andy MacGuire, who along with his elder plans a bank robbery to save their grandfather’s retirement home from being demolished. In the film, “Cockneys vs. Zombies,” he is one of the two main characters. Following that, he was seen playing the lead role of a young English academic named Jonathan Anselme in the French-English action thriller miniseries titled “Flight of the Storks.”

Harry portrayed Frank, a member of the featured gang who has a fascination with women’s attire, in the western action movie “The Lone Ranger,” which was released in 2013. In the drama series “Truckers,” which airs on BBC One, he will portray the role of Glen Davies in a total of five episodes.
In the drama “The Shooting of Thomas Hurndall,” which aired on Channel 4 in 2008, Harry played the role of Billy. The same year, he also participated in the short film “Love You More,” which was directed by Sam Taylor-Wood.

Both the British horror-thriller “The Disappeared” and the American science fiction adventure “City of Ember” were published in 2008, and Harry starred in both of them. In “The Disappeared,” he played the major role of Matthew Ryan, while in “City of Ember,” he played Doon Harrow, the “Messenger.” In 2009, he had his stage debut in the play “Over There” by Mark Ravenhill, which was performed at the “Royal Court Theatre.” He made his debut alongside Luke in the play. They were fortunate enough to have a theatrical teacher at their high school who believed in them, and eventually, Harry and Luke came up with the name “Lizardsun” for their band. After some time, they came to the conclusion that acting was something they wanted to pursue and joined the “National Youth Theatre.”Later on, Harry received his diploma from the “London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art” in the year 2006.
